Solarpaw stopped suddenly her eyes locked on the two cats that had pulled themselves from the river. What in Starclan... Her eyes studied them but she was to far away to make out any details. She quickly opened her mouth; the water must have muted their scents because she couldn't distinguish their clan scent.
She felt her hackles rise as she continued watching. She glanced to Mistpaw, the golden speckles in her black eyes turned red.

The sun rose over the chimney and roofs of the tightly packed city. Warming the air and casting its glow on a cat that equaled the suns own color. Its fire-red pelt seemed to turn gold in the morning light. Its intelligent eyes looking from the skys and down into the soon to be busy streets below her.
